My research involves the application of quantitative techniques to practical wildlife and
endangered species problems. I am particularly interested in problems involving the active
management of populations, for conservation, restoration, or recreation. Consequently, my
interests include population dynamics, population viability analysis, Monte Carlo simulation,
stochastic optimization, experimental design, statistics, and estimation. I also expect to continue
to produce software applications that aid others in exploring similar topics. My career goal is to
contribute to a research organization at a state or federal level that values the application of
quantitative techniques to practical management problems.
